2005 MACS Champion Mike Balzano of Parkersburg, WV joined the show to talk about the Ernie Shelton’s USA 100™ presented by Thurston Spring Service, inc. to be held at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway on August 18, 2007. This year’s event will once again be sanctioned by the Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS). The $68,000 purse makes the USA 100™ one of the countries highest paying one day events. Balzano also talked about his season and his thoughts on the regional racing landscape in the Mid-Atlantic. The ‘Floodwall Flier’ has been busy racing a mixture of MACS, IRS, Lucas Oil and World of Outlaws competition. Balzano drives the Balzano Motorsports owned; Cornett Racing Engines powered, Chevrolet Monte Carlo Rocket #E1 sponsored by Polino Contractors, Eddie’s Auto Parts and Hoosier Racing Tires.
